school makes me tired already

summer is very quickly coming to it's end.
tomorrow will be the last "official" day of summer i guess since i will be moving into my new abode for the 09-10 school year. i'm pretty excited because i will be living in an apartment this year, which means there will be a kitchen! and not weird people that i don't get along with very well surrounding me constantly. i hope this year will be good. meet new acquaintances that could become good friends. maybe even a cute boy for once! UCSD is severely lacking in that department. but as long as it is a fun, enjoyable year and i do well in all my classes i will be satisfied.
on a different note, i wish i had nicer skin or perfect skin. that would be amazing! i would trade better skin for...an inch off my height. eh, i don't know if i would actually want that but i wish my skin would clear up already! i've had to deal with this acne problem since junior high i believe. a magic potion needs to be concocted for this problem. or maybe i will try to figure out something if i decide to become a dermatologist or a biologist who works in labs, attempting to create the newest and "best" prescription for such issues. it's still too early to really see where my career go though yet.
i should try to sleep early for once! summer always screws up sleeping schedules. i'm trying to get into my bio class, BILD 2, at 11 AM on tues/thurs because there are not too many people on the waitlist anymore. currently, i am number 5! i hope i get into it so i won't have thre grueling task of waking up to go to a 7:30 AM class instead. i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be able to focus that early in the morning. horrible idea to make classes that early.
anywho, i'm getting tired! it's almost 1AM now. need to sleep and get up early and shower for korean bbq! woot, i'm excited for it.
okay, here is today's fun fact of the day:
an ostrich's brain is smaller than it's eye. geeeeeez, that is pretty minute. an ostrich must not be a smart animal then. how could you be if you're brain is smaller than your eye! their eyes don't seem to be very large either. poor things. at least they have big eggs so they have something better to brag about!

you really know how to dance
the time is start my second year of college is slowly approaching
i'm moving in just a few days
and then classes will commence in a little over a week
that means it is time to start saying farewell to summer and it's many freedoms
adios to playtime and relaxation and bonjour to organic chemistry, biology, physics, and political science. well, at least for this upcoming fall quarter. sounds like a blast doesn't it? you know it!
i have not been adamant about updating my blog. but maybe once school starts again, i will be updating more often to take away time from my studies. we shall see!
time for the fun fact of the day:
kangaroos can't walk backwards. kangaroos are cute. i wish i saw one up close while i was in australia but that didn't happen. i did see wallabies, which is almost like a mini kangaroo. next time i go "down under," i will make sure i get to see one!

throw it in the bag
it's been over a week since my last blog!

oh well...let's see...what to talk about...
i'm not really sure
i got to hang out with some SD friends last week, which was fun even though they didn't know what to do with us :) also went to watch ABDC for the second time! they made us learn the "ricky bobby" dance, which i thought was stupid especially since the fat giant named scott was all up in my personal space! i want to go again this week but it's sold out unfortunately.
i've been going to sleep later than usual
that is not good at all since i will need to start waking up early for my freaking 7:30 AM class on mondays and wednesdays in the new future. i should try sleeping earlier to get my body for the shock of early morning classes.
anyways, less than 2 weeks left until it is time to move and settle in to the reality that is my SOPHOMORE YEAR of college! crazy, time is seriously flying by as cliche as it sounds.
okay, time for the fun fact of the day!
a housefly hums in the key of F
wow, that's pretty random, not gonna lie & cool at the same time? how do people even figure these things out? somewhere out there is a person interested in flies so much that they listen and attempt to decipher the key it hums in. that would definitely not be me though!

keep knocking
sophomore year of college is slowly approaching
20 more days until i move in and 25 more days until classes begin!
what a trip
i'm glad i'm not in high school to deal with stupid crap
people need to grow up and learn to deal with situations in a mature manner so as to not cause those same situations to evolve into awkward ones.
deal with it and move on.
that's all i have to say about that.
anyways, music speaks on friday was grrrrrreat
i'm very happy that i decided to go! i'm still waiting on some "professional" pictures; i hope they are uploaded and online soon :)
i got to see quest crew perform, which i was most excited for! you can see, or hear, for yourself in this video of only a part of their performance
saturday was also a delightful day
ventured into asian townnn for about 3 hours with tiffany to buy delectable foods!
and tiffanie was surprised, even though it was a little chaotic getting it all ready right before she arrived. playeeeeed fun games with people and ate and jumped in the jumper (but not for long enough!)
a goal of yesterday was to get a jumping polaroid picture inside the jumper but i failed on that. there's always next time though
this upcoming week should be gooood! plans to visit HH and go to a taping of ABDC again. yay!

china has only 1 time zone. that's pretty crazy to think about. i mean the united states has 4, or 6 including hawaii and alaska. china is so freaking huge, how can it only have a single time zone? it has about a sixth of the world's population too. i just find it interesting i guess. yayy for being chinese! i want to visit china one day

just add water
my florida trip was good
day 1: plane rides and relaxing at my uncle's house
day 2: went to st. augustine, the oldest city in america!
day 3: drive to orlando; islands of adventure, which is a part of universal studios; overnight stay in orlando
day 4: disneyworld's animal kingdom; back to jacksonville
day 5: shopping at outlets!
day 6: drove to savannah, georgia; ate at paula deen's restaurant and walked around the city
day 7: jacksonville beach and more shopping
day 8: plane rides back home :)
it was an eventual trip for sure. it was nice to get away but i missed california and home very much so. there was wayyy too much rain dropping down for the summer time but that's what you get for being in florida. thankfully hurricane bill's path was not towards florida or i could have been stuck there for a while.
the last time i blogged was about a week and a half ago! it feels too long
summer continues to be swell
still got some plans left for it!
in the meanwhile, i can cross some stuff of my seemingly never-ending summer list

today, i basically hung out with aj rafael for a couple hours at cerritos regional park as he was trying to sell tickets for music speaks. really random, not gonna lie. i also saw him again at cerritos mall a couple hours after that. it's like we were stalking him, however, that was definitely not the case! he was nice! and i got to take a photo with him as well.
i really wanted to go to Internation Secret Agents or ISA but it's all sold out now. boo :( at least i'm going to music speaks now so that makes up for it, somewhat.
anywayyyyyyys, i need to bust out a bracelet for my stepdad because he asked for one for his birthday (which is today) and barely started on it. he has a giant wrist too. awesomeeee, time to work!
today's fun fact is:
you have to play ping pong for 12 hours to lose 1 pound
geeez, that's a lot of table tennis action! i feel like i would get bored of playing it after probably 30 minutes. it can only be so exciting, but that's mostly due to the fact that i suck at it. sports are just not for me.
